Q'Ruhka Tia

Server: Mateus
Inspirations: Sun, sea, blood, technology over magic, glitz and gold, rum
Sexuality: Male leaning Pansexual, Demi romantic, Monogomous
Age: Late twenties-early thirties?
Build: Fit
Height: 5'0"
Entrepreneur, engineer, and sky pirate, Ruhka is armed to the teeth with guns and gil, and he's not above getting his hands dirty to get what he wants. Calling La Noscea home, this suncat traded sand for sea and sky, and is willing to lend a ship, for the right price. Or, perhaps a spare allagan artifact or two? Despite his glitzy and composed exterior, the catte's a bag of sharp edges soaked in rum, and he's just as likely to give good advice as he is to give cryptic missives. Don't worry about the direwolf, he's probably more scared of you.

plots and ideas

Hooks and suggested possible plots are only that- suggestions! Please feel free to suggest other ideas as well!Airships- Need something shipped fast? Or maybe past customs scrutiny? Ruhka's ships fly fast and silent, and he doesn't much care what his cargo is (as long as it isn't people against their will). Or perhaps you prefer to work on the ships? A proper crew might be a fun thing to have after all.
- Open to crew of all sorts (fc available)
- Long term/frequent travel arrangements for those that require it
Pirate- On the other hand, if you need something stolen, well that can be arranged too. Pilfered from other ships or dug out of catacombs, Ruhka either already has it or can get it, for the right price.
- Transport to and acquisition of artifacts solo or together
- Running across each other stealing from the same source
- Ruhka stealing from your character (or vice-versa)(note: Ruhka does not cross Alliance ships, or honest merchants, he has standards)
Tech- For all his chaos and violence, quiet study and tinkering is where Ruhka truly excels. Garlean and Allagan tech both yield under his fingertips, prying out new uses for old machines. But in a land of magic it's a lonely subject, a companion, or even a rival, would be a welcome change. There seems to be something he's striving for, some idea he's reaching to, but what is anyone's guess but his.
- Other tech minded characters welcome!
- Ruhka can be commissioned for odd tech requests (within reason)
- Ruhka is willing to 'sponsor' technicians just starting out, providing materials and workshop space
Business- Running an airship company can't all be tinkering and flying, at some point Ruhka actually has to do business. Dressing up for high profile gatherings and back alley deals, he can sweet talk with the best of them, when he feels there's reason to.
- Open to new partnerships of varying interests
- Ruhka still offers secondary materials for sale and delivery
- Payment is flexible, not cheap, but interesting objects and information can be as valuable as gil
- Some back alley deals go sour, it'd be easy for someone to walk in on a fight
Aether- Ruhka's aether, in simple terms, doesn't work. He's never been able to cast a spell, and teleporting makes him sicker than the day after a full barrel of rum. He knows there's something distinctly wrong with it, and he has only a vague understanding of why, if he could convince himself that he deserves to know. To those particularly aether sensitive, there's light-aspected energy roiling underneath the surface, but it seems there's no release.
- Ruhka cannot heal by magical means, and therefore is always looking for other ways, be it alchemical or available doctors
- Examining his aether for possible fixes or workarounds may be considered payment for other services he provides
Traveler- For someone relatively introverted, Ruhka's still friendly and well traveled, having lived all over Eorzea already and flown far beyond it's borders regularly.
- Recently relocating his company to La Noscea (finally), he's at home by sand and surf, but that doesn't mean he doesn't frequent other city states. He's still well known enough around to be friendly to mercs looking for a job and any number of places. Only, don't expect him to go anywhere near the Sagolii
- Much of his business still goes in and out of Limsa Lominsa, and he's a frequent sight out at the docks shipping in or out. His personal estate is also along the coast, open to friendly faces most hours of the day
- As a younger man he trained under the botanist's guild in Gridania, to little fanfare or fuss. No his mistake was to be a woodwailer, for a very short time. He was never tried for turning a blind eye to moonkeeper and duskwright 'poachers', but he certainly didn't last long in the ranks, escaping to La Noscea pretty shortly after
